Mechanical Shaped Watch Inspired By Butterfly Effect
Inspired by the “butterfly effect”, a concept coined by Edward Lorenz in the 70s and later popularised through iconic motion pictures such as Run Lola Run, The Adjustment Bureau, Cloud Atlas, and Back to the Future. Nectere is a playful and artistic interpretation of this theme, an act of linking and connecting, embodied in a watch.

Nectere is a passion project, and we intend to take things slow. Whilst our flagship product is a watch, we aren’t limiting our constraints to this category. At present, we have finished prototyping, and are looking to find our tribe to join our journey. We are currently working on the kickstarter campaign and will be launched on 18 April, 2025.

Wanting to break free from the somewhat stiff and conventional designs offered on the market, Nectere is the brainchild of serial hobbyists and watch collectors; James Wong, and Tony Yip (Hong Kong). The duo share a deep mutual interest in art deco design, nature, philosophy, analogue photography, and watches.​
